Alaska boasts some of the most beautiful natural wonders in the world and we, as trail runners, have the ability to go deeper into these lands and experience them on a level worthy of their charm. With such vast distances between these gems, to visit them is a logistical and endurance feat in and of itself which is what makes Bus Run Bus such a tempting challenge. 

To allow for the proper exploration of trails, coast and mountain we will be taking advantage of the unique service provided by Green Tortoise’s converted sleeper busses and professional drivers and staff.

Bus Run Bus will convene in Anchorage on Saturday, July 30. From Anchorage we will travel down and back up the Kenai Peninsula before hoping a ferry to Valdez. From there we’ll head north towards the Wrangell/ St. Elias National Park home of the legendary mining town of McCarthy/Kennecott.. The week will include nearly 1000 miles of bus travel, an unforgettable ferry ride and up to 120 miles on our feet. There is truly no better way for a trail runner to experience the immensity and diversity of the Last Frontier.
